<b><font color = "blue">PRESCRIPTION REQUIRED FOR LUSTRA (HYDROQUINONE) </font></b>LUSTRA (HYDROQUINONE) Cream or LUSTRA AF (HYDROQUINONE)Cream is a skin bleaching agent used to temporarily lighten dark-colored patches of skin (also called melasma, liver spots, age spots, freckles) caused by pregnancy, birth control pills, hormone medicine, or injury to the skin. LUSTRA (HYDROQUINONE) Cream or LUSTRA AF (HYDROQUINONE) Cream also contains sunscreens to help prevent dark spots from re-occurring due to sunlight or ultraviolet light exposure. LUSTRA (HYDROQUINONE) works by blocking the chemical process (enzymes) in the skin that leads to discoloration.

Lustra side effects or Lustra AF side effects, that may go away during LUSTRA treatment, include minor skin redness or a mild burning sensation. If Lustra side effects continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. STOP USING LUSTRA AND CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR IF you experience Lustra side effects like itching, blisters, swelling, or blue-black skin color. IF YOU EXPERIENCE Lustra side effects like difficulty in breathing; dizziness; tightness of chest; swelling of eyelids, face, or lips; or if you develop Lustra side effects like a rash or hives, tell your doctor immediately. It helps fade skin discolorations which resulting from excess sun, pregnancy, the use of oral contraceptives, or any combination of these factors. with special ingredients that work in four ways to restore and maintain beautiful skin: hydroquinone improves skin color by inhibiting the production of excessive skin pigment that can lead to uneven color or dark spots. The active antioxidant system (Vitamins C and E) defends the skin against environmentally induced free radicals and builds a reservoir to help maintain cellular integrity. Alpha hydroxy acid (glycolic acid) enhances exfoliation, which increases cell turnover and sheds the overpigmented cells more quickly, and helps reduce the visible signs of skin aging.

Moisturizers help improve the overall appearance of the skin - tone, clarity and suppleness. LUSTRA-AFT provides all the benefits of LUSTRA with the addition of full-spectrum UVA and UVB coverage. Sunscreens are recommended for use with products containing hydroquinone to prevent repigmentation. Whereas other products containing 4% hydroquinone offer UVB protection, only LUSTRA-AF contains Parsol® 1789 to protect against pigment-causing UVA rays. LUSTRA-AF is not intended to prevent sunburn.
