Tarka (Trandolapril/Verapamil SR) is an ACE inhibitor and calcium channel blocker used to treat high blood pressure. Tarka (Trandolapril/Verapamil SR) may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.

Tarka side effects, that may occur during treatment, include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, dry cough, dizziness or lightheadedness when sitting or standing, constipation, or fatigue. If Tarka side effects continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience Tarka side effects like tender, bleeding, or swollen gums; shortness of breath; hives; irregular or slow heart beat; swelling of feet or hands; or chest pain. CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY if you experience Tarka side effects like swelling of face, lips, eyes, or tongue; or difficulty swallowing or breathing. If you notice other Tarka side effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.

<br><b>Tarka Warning: </b>This drug can cause serious fetal harm if used during the last six months of pregnancy. If pregnancy occurs, stop using this drug and immediately contact your physician. Some medicines or medical conditions may interact with this medicine. INFORM YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST of all prescription and over-the-counter medicine that you are taking. ADDITIONAL MONITORING OF YOUR DOSE OR CONDITION may be needed if you are taking clozapine, dantrolene, digoxin, digitoxin, indomethacin, intravenous (IV) calcium, lithium, potassium, azathioprine, rifampin, carbamazepine, flecainide, quinidine, theophylline, diuretics, or medicine for heart conditions or high blood pressure (beta blockers) or for diabetes. Inform your doctor of any other medical conditions, allergies, pregnancy, or breast-feeding. USE OF THIS MEDICINE IS NOT RECOMMENDED if you have a history of low blood pressure, heart block, or kidney artery narrowing.
