ZYMAR (Gatifloxacin) ophthalmic solution is an antibiotic prescription eye drop used to treat eye infection caused by susceptible bacteria (bacterial conjunctivitis also know as pink eye). ZYMAR effectively penetrates ocular tissues to achieve therapeutic concentrations at the site of infection. ZYMAR (Gatifloxacin)is a new class of quinolone antibiotic (the 4th-generation fluoroquinolones) that is likely to be effective against resistant bacteria.

The most frequently reported adverse events are local reaction such as: conjunctival irritation, increased lacrimation, keratitis, burning sensation, and dryness.
