Exorex is used to treat Psoriasis. Coal tar is mildly antiseptic and relieves itching. It also acts as a keratolytic, which works to break down a protein which forms part of the skin structure called keratin. Skin thickening occurs due to the deposition of keratin. Coal tar helps to reduce the excessive hardening, thickening and scaling of the skin.

Exorex Lotion is the most important product within the Exorex Management System as it is indicated for the treatment of psoriasis. The patented formulation contains 1% prepared coal tar in a base of esterified essential fatty acids.
Although you may notice an improvement within a few weeks, it can sometimes take longer for improvement to occur. Remember no two sufferers are the same.

The Exorex Management System consists of a range of over-the-counter products for the management of psoriasis. The other products within the range are formulated to work together to complement Exorex Lotion. The components include:-

Exorex Hair and Body Shampoo gently cleanses without irritation and is fragrance free.
<br><b><font color = "black">STEP TWO - TREAT (with Exorex Lotion)</font></b> <br>
Remember Exorex Lotion is the most important product in the Exorex Management System, as it is indicated for the TREATMENT of psoriasis. Exorex Lotion has a less strong odour than some conventional coal tar products. It is suitable for any age and can be diluted to suit individual requirements.
Our suggested dilution programme for six weeks is:
1st Week of Treatment:
Dilute 1 part of Exorex Lotion with 5 parts of cooled boiled water.
2nd Week of Treatment:
Dilute 1 part of Exorex Lotion with 4 parts of cooled boiled water.
3rd Week of Treatment:
Dilute 1 part of Exorex Lotion with 3 parts of cooled boiled water.
4th Week of Treatment:
Dilute 1 part of Exorex Lotion with 2 parts of cooled boiled water.
5th Week of Treatment:
Dilute 1 part of Exorex Lotion with 1 part of cooled boiled water.
6th Week of Treatment:
You should be able to use full strength Exorex Lotion.

Exorex Moisturising Cream is recommended after treatment with Exorex Lotion as a non-irritant moisturiser.
Exorex Scalp Moisturiser has been formulated for use with Exorex Lotion to help scalp psoriasis. It is recommended that after treatment with Exorex Lotion on the scalp, a non-irritant moisturiser such as Exorex Scalp Moisturiser is used.
Exorex Moisturising Cream and Exorex Scalp Moisturiser are colourless and odourless once dry, and can be used as often as needed.
