Desonide or Desocort Lotion is manufactured by Galderma and is available in two sizes. Desowen (Desonide) is a corticosteroid used to reduce itching, redness, and swelling associated with many skin conditions. Desowen (Desonide) does not cure the cause of these problems but can quickly relieve the symptoms by interfering with the production of various substances in the body that cause these skin disorders. Desowen (Desonide) is for external use only.

Possible side effects that can develop when using Desowen (Desonide) are: lack of healing of skin condition; painful, red, pus-filled blisters in hair follicles; severe burning and continued itching of the skin; thinning of the skin with easy bruising.
