Zestoretic (Lisinopril/HCTZ) is an angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor and thiazide diuretic combination used to treat high blood pressure. Zestoretic (Lisinopril/HCTZ) may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
Zestoretic side effects, that may go away during treatment, include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, dry cough, rash, dizziness or lightheadedness when sitting or standing, or fatigue. If Zestoretic side effects continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience Zestoretic side effects like shortness of breath, muscle weakness, unusually fast or slow heartbeat, or chest pain. CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY if you experience Zestoretic side effects like: swelling of face, lips, eyes, or tongue; or difficulty swallowing or breathing. If you notice other Zestoretic side effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
Zestoretic Information and Warning: This drug can cause serious fetal harm if used during the last six months of pregnancy. If pregnancy occurs, stop using this drug and immediately contact your physician. Some medicines or medical conditions may interact with this medicine. INFORM YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST of all prescription and over-the-counter medicine that you are taking. DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE if you are also taking dofetilide or ketanserin. ADDITIONAL MONITORING OF YOUR DOSE OR CONDITION may be needed if you are taking clozapine, diazoxide, digitoxin, digoxin, indomethacin, lithium, diuretics, azathioprine, potassium, or medicine for diabetes. Inform your doctor of any other medical conditions, allergies, pregnancy, or breast-feeding. USE OF THIS MEDICINE IS NOT RECOMMENDED if you have a history of kidney artery narrowing.
