PENLAC 8% (Ciclopirox) is an antifungal agent used to treat fungal infections of the fingernails and toenails in patients with a normal immune system (immunocompetent). PENLAC 8% may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.

A SIDE EFFECT that may occur while using PENLAC 8% (Ciclopirox) is mild redness of the surrounding skin. If it continues or is bothersome, check with your doctor. CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience increased redness, itching, burning, blistering, swelling, or oozing of the treated area.
