How Is GLYQUIN® (Hydroquinone USP, 4%) Used?
GLYQUIN® should be applied to the affected areas twice daily or as directed by your doctor. You can use GLYQUIN® on your hands, chest, back . wherever you have hyperpigmented skin. Be sure to rub GLYQUIN® in well. If your doctor has recommended that you use other skin care products in addition to GLYQUIN®, please wait 20 minutes before applying them. This will help ensure that GLYQUIN® is properly absorbed and will not be rubbed off.

Are There People Who Should Not Use GLYQUIN® (Hydroquinone USP, 4%)?
People who have a history of sensitivity or allergic reaction to any of its ingredients should not use GLYQUIN®. The safety of topical hydroquinone use during pregnancy or in children (12 years and under) has not been established. As a result, GLYQUIN® should only be used in pregnant women when prescribed by a doctor. It is also not known whether topical hydroquinone is absorbed or excreted in human milk. Therefore, caution is advised when used by a nursing mother.
Glyquin XM 4% Cream Side Effects : Hydroquinone may produce unwanted cosmetic effects if not used as directed. Test for skin sensitivity before using GLYQUIN® by applying a small amount to an unbroken patch of skin and check within 24 hours. Minor redness does not necessarily mean treatment should be stopped. Where there is itching, blistering, or excessive swelling and redness, further treatment is not advised; however, it is recommended that you contact your doctor. Contact with the eyes should be avoided. If no lightening effect is noted after 2 months of treatment, GLYQUIN® should be discontinued. The safety of topical hydroquinone use during pregnancy or in children (12 years and under) has not been established. This product is not for patients who have exhibited a prior sensitivity or allergic reaction to any of the ingredients in GLYQUIN®.

Hyperpigmentation, often referred to by doctors as dyschromia, occurs when your body produces an excess amount of melanin, which is the pigment portion of your skin. It results in brown spots, freckles, or patches of darkened skin. Dyschromia affects people of all skin colors and is most often seen on those areas of the body that are exposed to the sun (eg, face, chest, and hands).
Some common causes of dyschromia include:
• Sun exposure.
• Hormonal changes as a result of pregnancy, oral contraceptives, or hormone replacement therapies.
• Trauma to the skin caused by acne, burns, or surgical procedures.
